21 Fijian Drua Women players in Fijiana XV match day 23 squad to take on Tonga tonight

Vodafone Fijiana XVs coach Mosese Rauluni has named 21 Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s players in his first Fijiana match day 23 squad to take on Tonga today in round 1 of the 2024 Oceania Rugby Women’s Championship in Brisbane.

The side sees only two players from other teams making the squad and they are Doreen Narokete, who plays for the Queensland Reds Women and Brumbies Women’s prop Iris Verebalavu.

Salanieta Nabuli, Litia Marama and Vika Matarugu make up up the front row, Mereoni Nakesa and Narokete partner up in the locks with Nunia Daunimoala and Sulita Waisega on the flanks and captain Karalaini Naisewa at number 8.

Nippy halfback Evivi Senikarivi starts at number 9 and Jennifer Ravutia to start at flyhalf.

Adita Milinia and Atelaite Buna will link up on the wings, Merewai Cumu and Vani Arei pair up in the centres with Luisa Tisolo at fullback.

In the reserves, Keleni Marawa, Iris Verebalavu, Tiana Robanakadavu, Asinate Serevi and Fulori Rotagavira will provide cover for the forwards while Setaita Railumu, Merewalesi Rokouono and Merewairita Neivosa will be covering for the backline.

The Fijiana XV will take on Tonga at 7.30 tonight.

In another match tonight, Samoa will play Papua New Guinea at 9.30.
