2023 Coca-Cola Games : MGM High’s Boletakanakadavu and Grammar’s Caginivalu stamp their mark in 200 metres heats

Kesaia Boletakanakadavu of MGM High School and Semesa Caginivalu of Suva Grammar School have booked their spots in the 200 metres senior finals in style after great runs in the heats today.

In the 200 metres senior girls, Boletakanakadavu is the favourite to win the final.

Her main competition will come from Adi Cakobau School’s Melania Ranadi.

Grammar’s Caginivalu beat Marist sprinter, Mesulame Tuigau in their heat.

His main challenge will is expected to come from Netani Lolo and Stephen Rabici of QVS, Ratu Alipate Vuiwakaya of Grammar and Setoki Turuva of Natabua High School.

A tough tussle is expected in the intermediate girls 200 metres finals between Claudy David of Grammar, Torika Radovu, Tirisiani Kiliraki and Losalini Raikadroka of MGM High, Alesi Nailolo of Drasa Secondary and Katea Ravouvou of Natabua High School.

For the intermediate boys, Senirusi Rauqe of Queen Victoria School will be challenged by Emosi Laqere and Ratu Penaia Ramasirai of MGM High, Ravuama Latilevu and Viliame Vela of Marist, Vilivo Whippy of Grammar and Semi Ratulele also of QVS.

In the junior girls, there will be a tussle between Lidia Waqairapoa of MGM High, Filomena Navula of Adi Cakobau School and Emelia Lobendahn of International School Suva.

In the junior boys, Francis Bakaniceva of International School Suva will be challenged by Timoci Cakautabu and Ratu Ilaitia Volavola of Natabua High School, Asalusi Raloka of Ba Sanatan College, and Ratu Aporosa Lalabalavu of Marist.

The 200 metres finals will be held at 11.40am tomorrow.
