The 2021 Annual Sangam Convention which was scheduled to take place during Easter has been cancelled.
TISI Sangam National President Sadasivan Naicker says they have cancelled the event due to the economic downturn brought by COVID-19 and the recent cyclones.
Naicker says this has left many families homeless and in need of relief.
He adds they will be organizing zonal sports and cultural events for youth and women’s groups in the coming months.
