A 2-year-old boy is the latest death on our roads this week following an accident in Dreketi.
Police say the boy was travelling in a vehicle driven by his father heading towards Nabouwalu when he lost control of the vehicle causing it to veer off the road and hit a post.
The boy who was sitting with his mother in the front seat sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Seaqaqa Health Center, where he was unfortunately pronounced dead on arrival.
Police say investigations continue.
Meanwhile, road accidents have claimed the lives of 19 people compared to 38 for the same period last year.
