Two young patients, Iliesa Kini and Nayra Grace Reddy, were discharged today from the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Hospital in Nasese following successful heart surgeries, marking another milestone in the hospital’s mission to provide free paediatric cardiac care in Fiji and the Pacific.
The children’s mothers were visibly emotional as they expressed their gratitude for the life-saving care their children received.
Hospital Director Dr. Krupali Tappoo says she was thankful for the families and staff for their trust and dedication, and also expressed her appreciation to the overseas medical team and local staff for their tireless efforts in saving lives.
She says she was grateful for parents and guardians who continue to place their faith in the hospital to care for their children.
She also revealed that over 400 children from Fiji and across the South Pacific have now received free life-saving heart surgeries at the hospital since it opened, and is calling on the public to support the hospital’s mission, inviting individuals and organisations to contribute in any way they can.
