The 19-year-old suspect who is alleged to have assaulted a 25-year-old man along Carnarvon Street in Suva last Friday, resulting in his death, has been charged and will appear at the Suva Magistrates Court today.
Police say the man is charged with one count of murder.
The 19-year-old suspect was earlier cautioned interviewed, and released by Police, however, he was taken in for questioning again yesterday.
Police had earlier stated that the 19-year-old man allegedly assaulted the 25-year-old man while returning from a nightclub along Carnavon Street in Suva.
The man fell over the railings, hit the cement surface, and was rushed to the CWM Hospital by his relatives.
The 25-year-old passed away at the CWM Hospital on the same afternoon.
