18-year-old student who robbed a man last year to be sentenced on 23rd March

A Year 13 student who robbed a man in Vatuwaqa last year will be sentenced by High Court Judge Justice Riyaz Hamza later this month.

The student is charged with a count of aggravated robbery.

He kicked a man on his leg in Karsanji Street, Vatuwaqa on 30th April last year and ran away with his bag.

The student was apprehended while trying to run away. He had pleaded guilty to the charge on 10th February this year.

The matter was deferred by the Justice Hamza to today as the student had to complete his FSLC exams.

The student will be sentenced on the 23th of March.
