18-year-old charged for his alleged involvement in a series of crimes on Viti Levu and Vanua Levu

An 18-year-old man has been charged for his alleged involvement in a series of robberies and burglaries on Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.

The man was produced in the Labasa Magistrate Court and is charged with 5 counts of burglary, 4 counts of theft and 1 count of serious assault.

He has been remanded in custody and the case will be called again on the 15th of this month.

Police have questioned and released another person in relation to this case.

The arresting team has also made several recoveries of items that are alleged to have been stolen from 5 robbery and burglary cases recorded during this month in Labasa.
