18 evacuation centres have been activated in the Northern Division.
This includes 12 schools, three community halls and three private residences.
The evacuation centres in the North include, Sukanaivalu Primary School, Navakawau Community Hall, Salialevu Primary School, Holy Cross College, Somosomo District School, Togo Community Hall, Naivivi Primary School, Naweni District School, Tukavesi Community Hall, Kama District School, Nabua Primary School (North), Wainigadru Village (Bonafasio residence), Saqani High School, Maramarua Primary School, Khalsa College, Yaro Village, Vunikodi Village and Nalele Village (Tui Cikobia’s residence).
Those living in flood prone areas in Vanua Levu are advised to move to the nearest evacuation centre.
Those who need assistance can call the National Fire Authority on 910, the Energy Fiji Limited on 913, the Fiji Police Force on 917, the Water Authority of Fiji on 5777 and the Fiji Roads Authority on 5720.
