150th celebration commemorates the lives of those who have dedicated their lives to the Force – Acting Commissioner

Acting Police Commissioner Juki Fong Chew says the 150th Sesquicentennial celebrations of the Fiji Police Force commemorates the lives of all People who have dedicated their lives to the Force.

Chew says the church service is a continuous thanksgiving service as the Force continue to live up to its vision and mission and most importantly seek divine guidance over the years to come.

He stressed that the Force will embody its rule of service to community when conducting their tasks on a daily basis.

Former Acting Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu, who also attended the service, says his glad the current Acting Commissioner came up with the command to celebrate the 150th celebration.

Tudravu says given the humble beginning of the force back in 1870 when the first promulgation was done from the native constabulary to date which has seen a lot of changes, evolution and reforms to the establishment.

Tudravu urged the members of the Police Force to be true in carrying out their duties of service to the people of Fiji.
