The 15-year-old student charged with the alleged rape of an 8-year-old boy has been remanded in custody.
The student appeared in the Navua Magistrates Court.
He is charged with one count of rape.
The case has been referred to the Suva High Court, and he will front the High Court on the 23rd of this month.
Police say the accused is alleged to have committed the offence on Saturday.
The matter was reported by the victim’s mother at Navua Police Station.
The accused and victim are from the same settlement.
