Police say 96 people were booked for speeding which was the highest compared to other offences.

They say 27 drivers were booked for speeding in the Southern Division, 9 drivers in the Eastern Division, 44 in the Western Division while 16 drivers were booked in the North.

20 drivers were arrested for drunk driving in the same period which includes 2 in the Southern Division, 6 in the Eastern Division and 12 in the Western Division.

5 people were booked for careless driving, 13 were booked for failing to produce drivers license while 8 were booked for carrying excess passengers.

Police are again urging members of the public not to drive under the influence of alcohol. They are also calling on people not to underestimate the impact of grog while driving.
