Health Ministry records 21 new cases of COVID-19

123,565 individuals have so far received booster doses.

The Ministry of Health says 94% of the adult target population or 88% of all persons over the age of 12 have had 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

They are urging the public to get booster vaccine doses and the list of vaccination sites is provided daily on the Ministry’s social media pages as well as the website.

The Ministry has also recorded 21 new cases of COVID-19 where 12 new cases were recorded on Tuesday, 9 new cases were recorded on Wednesday and the last 24 hours ending at 8am yesterday.

They say of these new cases, 12 were recorded in the Central Division, 8 cases were recorded in the Western Division and 1 case was recorded in the Northern Division.

The Ministry further says in the 7 days until Wednesday, 19 new cases were recorded in the Central division, 26 new cases in the Western division and 2 new cases were recorded in the Northern Division.

They confirm Central Division cases constitute 68% of the cumulative total cases nationally, with the Western Division making up 27%, 3% in the Northern Division, and 2% in the Eastern Division.
