Great news for low-income earners, as the Housing Authority of Fiji will provide 100 houses at Kake Place in the new Nepani subdivision in Nasinu.
Minister for Housing Maciu Nalumisa says two types of conventional homes will be constructed under this initiative.
He says one type will use pre-cast panel walls, while the other will use light steel frame walls with panels.
Nalumisa says both home designs are intended to be durable and sustainable for families and form part of the Government’s efforts to showcase practical and scalable housing solutions that can be adopted nationwide.
The Minister adds that they plan to complete this project by the end of the year.
Nalumisa also highlighted that they plan to develop 400 residential lots in Tavakubu, Davuilevu, Nepani, Tacirua, and Korosalusalu over the next two years.
Housing Authority Chairperson Sereana Qoro says their goal is to provide easy access to housing solutions through the development of affordable, fully serviced lots, the construction of homes, and the provision of affordable home loan packages for low- and middle-income earners in support of the Government’s mandate.
