The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side is fully focused on getting their fitness level into gold medal standard going into the final two tournaments of the HSBC SVNS World Series and also into the 2024 Paris Olympics.

This was stated by coach Osea Kolinisau who says the team is slowly improving on their fitness level and and getting their standard up.

Kolinisau says the players know that they are not there yet but know what is expected of them in terms of lifting their standards to the required level.

When asked about how well they are preparing for the upcoming HSBC Singapore 7s next week, Kolinisau says their preparation is well focused on basic areas such as the kickoff, their defence and the importance of keeping possession.

He mentioned about how they gave away valuable possessions that cost them dearly at the previous HSBC Hong Kong 7s and they are looking to polish that up next week.

The Fiji Men is in Pool C alongside the USA, Great Britain and Ireland.

The Fiji Men will play the USA at 5.14pm next Friday in their first pool match before facing Great Britain at 10.30pm Friday, they will then meet Ireland at 5.37pm Saturday in their final pool match.
