2020 Suva Rugby Player of the Year, Taniela Sadrugu aims to be part of the Fiji Airways National Men's 7s squad to the Olympic Games in July.

Sadrugu was impressive for the Suva Rugby side at this year's Skipper Cup competition playing a total of 14 games.

He also caught the eyes of national 7s coach Gareth Baber who included Sadrugu in the extended squad.

Sadrugu says the aim is the Olympic Games in Japan and with hard work and determination nothing is impossible.

He says the immediate aim is to feature on the international stage and prove to the management that he has what it takes to be part of the squad to the Olympics Games in July.

The 22-year-old will also feature in the Super 7s Series competition for the FDS Barbarians.

The team consists of former and current national 7s players including Jerry Tuwai, Pio Tuwai, Jiuta Wainiqolo and Anasa Qaranivalu.

The first tournament for the Super 7s Series will be held on the 22nd and 23rd of next month at Lawaqa Park.
