University of the South Pacific graduate Salote Taukeisalili

Salote Taukeisalili was full of joy as all her hard work paid off after she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Graduate Certificate in Education at the University of the South Pacific.

She says she achieved this despite going through financial issues and being a single mother of two.

Taukeisalili says what inspired her to keep pushing for excellence was her two sons.

The 24-year-old also acknowledged the endless support of her parents and all her teachers for teaching her for the last five years.

Her eldest son is 4 years old and her second son is 1 year old.

The 24 year old says she plans to further her education after getting a job as a teacher.

She is advising single mothers who might also be facing the same issues that she had gone through, not to doubt their capabilities, but to keep on striving for the best.
