Good news for families in Saqani Village in the province of Cakaudrove, as they now have access to clean drinking water, however, not too long ago they had to boil water every time it rained.
Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says the new clean water system, worth $26,000, called the Ecological Purification System, provides safe and clean drinking water.
Rabuka adds that life for families is now easier and they are working to make sure every Fijian has safe water to drink.
A villager, Unaisi Daugunu, says through this system 150 villagers, students at Natadra District School, and government workers in the area will not get sick like before.
