CFL Foundation charity walk on March 28th to raise funds to assist children living with cancer in Fiji

The Communications Fiji Ltd Foundation is embarking on a charity walk from Nausori to Suva, at 8am on the 28th of this month.

This charity walk will aim to raise important funds for the ongoing treatment of children living with cancer in Fiji.

CFL, the parent company of FM96, LegendFM, VITIFM, Navtarang, Radio Sargam, and the country's leading digital news platform fijivillage, launched its new charitable trust, CFL Foundation in September last year with the company contributing 5 percent of the Group's profit after tax.

CFL Chair William Parkinson says CFL have always believed that our responsibility goes beyond broadcasting.

Parkinson says the formation of the Communications Fiji Ltd Foundation, backed by a direct profit commitment from the company, allows CFL to better use the goodwill of our audiences, advertisers, and CFL team members to build a more resilient and caring society.

For decades, CFL has been dedicated to community service, regularly stepping up to help children with special needs, those facing serious health issues like cancer, and families impacted by natural disasters.

From fundraising efforts for cyclone relief to supporting individuals with terminal illnesses, CFL has built a strong reputation for making a real difference through its platforms.

According to recent statistics from WOWS Kids Fiji, there are currently 70 children under 18 years of age living with cancer.

We believe that this number is what is on record and that the actual number is higher.

Senior Content Director of Navtarang and Radio Sargam, Satya Nand will again lead the team to garner support from around the country raising awareness about the challenges facing Fiji but also mobilising public support to deliver urgent assistance to those in need.

We also extend a personal invitation to you to join hands with us for this worthy cause, and join our charity walk or make your contribution to assist the children living with cancer.

The important work of those who care for our children battling cancer will greatly benefit from your valuable donation, as well as provide much-needed relief to the children’s families.

Donations can be sent via:
Communications Fiji Limited Appeal Account
WBC Account 9800935794

You can also send your donation via the M-Paisa or MyCash apps by selecting CFL in the vendor drop down list.

Thank you for your generosity and for making the health of Fiji’s children a priority.

Stay with us for updates.
