Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem

Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem has clarified that the results that are currently showing on the FEO app were provisional results.

We are now expecting the final official results for the 2022 general elections to be progressively released from today until Sunday.

Saneem says not all the official results will be available today as it will be progressively released and people have to wait.

He says provisional results are results that were just called in from various polling venues, and those are the ones displayed on the app.

Saneem says when the final results is released, they are 100 percent sure that it is the accurate results.

When also asked if he can give an update on the total voter turnout, Saneem says he cannot give any information on the numbers and percentage as yet.

When asked about any further possible glitches and errors on the FEO app, Saneem says the provisional results are called in and those are the numbers that are displayed. He says it is provisional and that is what the word means.

He says they are 100 percent sure of the final official results when that will be released.

When asked on whether the final official results will be progressively released every 6 hours, Saneem says he cannot confirm that.
