Acting Police Commissioner Chuki Fong Chew

We are working towards improving the service delivery of the Fiji Police Force by strengthening the manpower and vehicles availability to respond to situations around the country.

Acting Police Commissioner Chuki Fong Chew highlighted this to fijivillage News while responding to the statement by the President of the Nadi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Doctor Ram Raju, that Nadi Police is under-resourced in terms of manpower and vehicles.

Chew says that is the public's opinion and perception of the Force, and the best they can do is learn from it and improve their service to the public.

Dr Raju says they are ready to stand with the Fiji Police in making sure Nadi is safe for everyone.

He says they have been meeting the senior officers of Nadi and Namaka Police Stations regularly and adds the recent incident is a wake-up call to take stronger action and work towards preventing such incidents by equipping our security forces with the necessary tools and manpower.
