Koegelenberg excited to earn his first appearance for the Rebels tonight

Gideon Koege-lenberg will make his first appearance in this season’s Super Rugby tournament for the Rebels when they’ll face the Highlanders tonight at Dunedin.

The 201-centimetre giant says he is not too nervous for tonight’s match but he is really excited as he is going to bring a lot of work rate and physicality to the team.

He says that he expects tonight's match to be lively game and although the locals will not be cheering for them, this will bring energy to the team.

He adds that they will take this energy and use it for their benefit.

Fiji born Rebels player, Isi Naisarani, Marika Koroibete and Frank Lomani have been named in the 23 member team that will face the Highlanders at 6.05 tonight.

Meanwhile, the Waratahs will face the Lions at 8.15 tonight, Hurricanes will play the Sunwolves at 3.45pm tomorrow, the Reds will take on the Sharks at 8.15pm tomorrow, the Stormers will face the Blues at 1.05am Sunday while the Bulls will play the Jaguares at 3.15am Sunday.
