Swire Shipping Fijian Drua hooker and co-captain Tevita Ikanivere

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua hooker and co-captain Tevita Ikanivere says it was shameful that they had 6 tries scored against them in their 48-10 loss to the Western Force last night.

Speaking during the post-match conference, Ikanivere says he knows they are a better team than that but they just have to learn from what they felt went wrong and move on.

When asked if it was fatigue due to the trip to Perth, Ikanivere says it wasn’t because they had spent the whole week in Perth and had adapted to the environment heading into the game.

The Drua were hapless as the Force ran riot at home with the backing of their home crowd.

Winger Selestino Ravutaumada scored the only try of the match for the Drua with young flyhalf Isaiah Armstrong Ravula adding the extras with a conversion and a penalty kick at goal.

The Drua will now need to win their remaining matches to keep their hopes alive for a place in the playoffs.

They currently sit in 8th place with 17 points despite the heavy loss last night.

The Drua will take on the Reds at 2.05pm next Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

In other matches next weekend, the Hurricanes will host Moana Pasifika at 7.05pm Friday, the Rebels will play the Chiefs at 9.35pm Saturday, the Brumbies will take on the Crusaders at 4.35pm Saturday, the Blues will host the Highlanders at 7.05pm Saturday and the Force will take on the Waratahs at 9.35pm Saturday.
