I-Taukei Affairs Ministry to fund provincial councils operations

Great news to the 14 Provincial Councils as the Ministry for i-Taukei Affairs will be funding its operations.

Minister for i-Taukei Affairs Ifereimi Vasu says this has substituted the traditional Soli ni Vanua that usually funds the Provincial Council operations and development projects.

He says this will also allow the Councils to focus the funds from the Soli ni Vanua to be used in other development projects within the province.

Vasu says he hopes to see more developments happening in the provinces in the near future.
