It was a moment of fun and training for the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side as they trained together with their 7s brothers from the French 7s team at the Sigatoka Sand Dunes.

The Fijian boys had some training drills with the French boys as they took on the heat of Sigatoka.

A video widely circulated on social media shows the French 7s team with the Fiji 7s team concluding their training with the song “We Have Overcome”.

According to National 7s coach Ben Gollings, France and Samoa will be having scrimmage sessions in the country.

He says they have a squad of 30 players in camp, and they have split them up into two teams to play at the Pacific Games in the Solomon Islands and the Oceania Sevens in Australia before selecting the final squad for the Dubai 7s.

The Oceania 7s will be held from next Friday to Sunday in Australia, while the Pacific Games will be held from the 19th of this month to the 2nd of December in the Solomon Islands.

The Dubai 7s will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of December.
