Fiji in pool of death at the Toulouse 7s next month

The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team have been drawn in a pool of death for next month’s Toulouse 7s as they head pool C alongside South Africa, USA and France.

After finishing 3rd at the Singapore 7s and gaining 17 series points, Fiji is now one step closer to booking their spot into the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris next year.

Fiji overcame neighbours Samoa 24-19 in a physical and tough encounter in the Singapore 7s bronze medal final.

New Zealand currently leads the overall 2022/2023 World 7s Series standings with 164 points followed by Argentina with 140 points and Fiji is 3rd with 130 points.

France who have secured an automatic qualification for the Olympic Games as host nation is at 4th place with 122 points while South Africa is at 5th place with 112 points.

The Toulouse 7s will be held from the 12th to the 14th of next month.
