Fiji Shadow team returns Marist 7s prize money

The Fiji Shadow team which won the 45th Fiji Bitter Sapphire Marist 7s over the weekend has returned their $10,000 prize money to the organisers which will now be redistributed to all participating teams.

This is in line with the commitment made by the organising committee to all teams in the event the Fiji 7s team wins the tournament in consultation with the Fiji Rugby Union.

Tabadamu who lost the final will receive $2,500.

Raiwasa Taveuni who lost to the Fiji 7s team in the semi-final will get $1,500, the Fire team which lost the quarter-final will get $750 while Wardens Gold will get $550 as they lost in the elimination round to the Fiji 7s team.

6 teams that lost in the Shield quarterfinals and semifinals will receive an additional $100 each.
