FMF officially launches naturally healthy Amul Cow Ghee in collaboration with Amul India, strengthening Fiji and India’s relationship through the divine flavor of naturally healthy ghee.
While speaking to fijivillage News, the Second Secretary for Consular and Commerce at the High Commission of India, Pradeep Menon emphasises that the milk is collected in villages, tested and sent to the factories to be clinically processed to the highest standards and then processed into ghee, ensuring it is safe and hygienic for people.
Menon ensures that the ghee contains no chemicals and is entirely natural and healthy for people, serving the authentic flavor.
Meanwhile, during the launch, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Manoa Kamikamica emphasises that the next step is to scale these initiatives is connecting small farmers to larger markets, enabling them to earn better incomes and ensuring that value is retained in our local communities.
He highlights that during his visit to Gujarat, India, last year, he witnessed that digital innovation and data analytics have become central to Amul's operation, adding that farmers receive real-time updates on their milk prices and the quality of their milk through mobile apps.
He adds that payments were made instantly and directly into their bank accounts, and automated systems track production and logistics from rural collection points to the urban markets.
He emphasizes how a first-hand cooperative owned by millions of small farmers could lead to a billion-dollar enterprise, competing on the global stage with the biggest names in the dairy industry.

Menon says that the Amul Cow Ghee is also being exported to Australia, the Middle East, and other Western countries in Europe.
