Diwali is a celebration of life, during which family, friends, and neighbors get together to share happiness and create good memories.

This is the Diwali message from Labasa resident Daya Prasad, who says his family eagerly await this day as they spend the week preparing sweets for their guests.

Prasad says it is a good family bonding time, when adults and children unite, share the workload and pray to Lord Rama and Goddess Laxmi for good health and prosperity.

He says the weather in the North is bright and sunny which allows people to finish the last-minute house decorations along with some shopping.

Prasad adds he will spend the day doing the Diwali puja, spending time with neigbours and forget the past by making good memories with one and all.

He has wished everyone a Happy Diwali.

The Diwali puja will be aired on our sister station Radio Sargam at 6.30pm.
