Star first-five Damian McKenzie will slip back to the fullback position, when the Chiefs host the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua.

Coach Clayton McMillan named a new look inside-back combination of Cortez Ratima and Bryn Gatand.

The move has repercussions throughout the backline, with in-form fullback Shaun Stevenson moving to the wing.

All Blacks Tupou Vaa'i and Brad Weber have been given the week off, while loose fowards Sam Cane and Luke Jacobson are unavailable through injury.

Other stars in the starting 15 are Samisoni Taukei'aho, Brodie Retallick, Pita Gus Sowakula and Etene Nanai-Seturo.

The Chiefs face the Drua at 7.05pm Friday.
