China regains lead in medal tally as Paris Olympics enters day 10

Australia moves up to 3rd as hosts France slip to 4th

Team China has taken over the lead again in the 2024 Paris Olympics medal tally as the event enters its 10th day of competition today.

China currently leads with 21 gold, 18 silver and 14 bronze while the United States of America is in second place with 20 gold, 30 silver and 28 bronze.

Australia has now moved up to 3rd place with 13 gold, 11 silver and 8 bronze with hosts France slipping down to 4th place with 12 gold, 16 silver and 18 bronze.

In the events that are yet to take place today, the athletics will see the women’s 1500m round 1 at 8pm, the men’s javelin throw qualification, the men’s 110m hurdles reperchage round, the women’s long jump qualification, the women’s 400m repechage round, the Men’s javelin throw qualification, the men’s 400m hurdles repechage round and the men’s 200m repechage round.

In basketball, game 1 of the men’s basketball quarterfinal match between Germany and Greece will be at 9 tonight.

In sailing, there will be men’s kite, mixed multihull, mixed dinghy and women’s kite while the table tennis round of 16 for men and women will continue tonight.
