Fiji Water Flying Fijians coach Mick Byrne

As the Fiji Water Flying Fijians fine-tune areas identified for improvement ahead of the clash against the All Blacks in San Diego, USA, coach Mick Byrne is confident in his team’s readiness.

While speaking after the team training at the Jewish Academy’s Camp Carmel Creek grounds, Byrne says they have had a great opportunity to bond as a team in San Diego, and the players have adapted well to the conditions.

He says they know the challenge ahead against the All Blacks, but they are focused on their strengths and what the team can bring to the game.

The coach says physicality will be a key aspect of their game plan.

Byrne adds they have worked hard to sharpen their set pieces and improve their defensive structure.

The Flying Fijians play the All Blacks at 2.30pm on Saturday in San Diego.
