3 men who allegedly stole a Ministry of Health fibreglass boat and a police boat’s propeller remanded

Inoke Bolakoro, Simione Kasanawaqa and Aceni Ravuwaka are charged with a count each of theft.

Three men who allegedly stole a fibreglass boat belonging to the Ministry of Health in Kadavu have been remanded in custody by the Suva Magistrates Court.

Inoke Bolakoro, Simione Kasanawaqa and Aceni Ravuwaka are charged with a count each of theft.

The three allegedly stole a fibreglass boat, two fuel tank and an engine from the Vunisea Hospital.

Ravuwaka is charged with another count of theft for allegedly stealing the propeller of the Police Boat FPB Kadavu.

Kasanawaqa is also charged with possession of illicit drugs as he was allegedly found with 0.4 grams of marijuana.

The alleged incidents occurred on the 27th of October.

Police investigators had conducted a raid at Naikorokoro and Namuana Village where they recovered the Police boat propeller and equipment reported to have been stored onboard the fibreglass boat belonging to the Vunisea Hospital.

The case has been adjourned to the 11th of November.
