A flood warning remains in force for the low lying areas and small streams for the Northern and Eastern parts of Viti Levu and Western half of Vanua Levu.

Flood warnings are also in place for low lying areas near the Rewa Bridge Station and downstream of Nausori Town, Rakiraki town, Navolau, Wailotua, Nayavu and Wainibuka.

A flood alert remains in place for Waimanu, Nabukaluka and low lying areas adjacent to the Ba catchment.

People living in low lying areas are advised to move to high ground as some people are leaving things to the last minute and are calling for assistance when the areas are already surrounded by flood waters.

The next high tide is at 11.45 tonight.

The Nadi Weather Office says the forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group is periods of heavy rain and squally thunderstorms over northern and eastern Viti Levu, western half of Vanua Levu, Lau and Lomaiviti group.

There will be occasional showers with isolated heavy falls and possible thunderstorms elsewhere.

Seas will be rough.

The outlook for Wednesday is occasional rain over most places.

There will be isolated heavy rain and thunderstorms.

The rain bands are associated with the slow moving Tropical Depression and will continue to affect Fiji until late tomorrow and Wednesday.
