Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 12-year-old boy in Wailoku, with a 29-year-old man in custody in relation to the incident.
Police say the boy was last seen playing at a neighbour's home on Wednesday evening but did not return home.
They say his mother later reported him missing.
Police say his body was discovered near his home at around midday yesterday.
Investigations are continuing.
