Vodafone Fiji has today launched its M-PAiSA QR payment that enables users to make their bill payments as well as pay for their shopping at selected supermarkets and stores simply by scanning the QR code.

This service is free of charge.

People will also be able to top up their e-transport cards via the App simply by following the instructions given.

Head of Vodafone E-Commerce Shailendra Prasad says this App can be used to make payments of any amount whether it is to buy vegetables sold by roadside vendors or making purchases at retail outlets as long as they have a QR code and have partnered with Vodafone.

Prasad says Vodafone's mobile wallet M-Paisa does not incur any additional charges or fees however as long you keep the money in your M-PAiSA account.

Vodafone says there are currently 120 thousand customers who use M-Paisa on a regular basis.

The M-PAiSA QR payment service is currently available at over 200 outlets in Fiji.
