Police are still investigating five separate body finds from December last year to last month.
This includes two murders where no one has been charged as yet.
When questioned by fijivillage News, Police confirm that a case of a woman found dead on the 5th of December last year, near Lautoka Special School, has been treated as murder.
A person was caution interviewed and released, while they still await forensic results.
The deceased woman has already been identified.
A decomposed body found in a cane field in Tunalia, Nadi on the 28th of December last year, has also been classified as a case of murder.
The victim has been identified.
A likely suspect was interviewed under caution and later released.
Police say they are awaiting results from the forensic evidence.
There was another body find on the 30th of December last year in Tamavua-i-Wai Settlement Wairua.
When questioned by fijivillage News about this, Police say the 15 year old boy's body was identified but the cause of death could not be established due to the decomposition of the body.
They say a likely suspect was interviewed and later released whilst investigations continue.
A partly decomposed body was also found at Naidiridiri Settlement in Nakasi on the 28th of February this year.
The identity is yet to be established and the cause of death is not known due to the decomposition of the body.
Police investigations continue.
We have also asked about the body find in the mangrove swamp near Vatuwaqa Bridge on the 7th of January this year.
Police say the victim is yet to be identified and the post mortem is yet to be done.
