The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua have created history, beating the ACT Brumbies 33-28 in Canberra.

While Brumbies winger Ollie Sapsford drew first blood to lead 7-0

Manasa Mataele was one of the stars of the Drua side after he scored a double to help his side get a rare away win.

Mataele's first try came from a quick recycle from the ruck, utilising some quick ball and sending it out wide.

Isikeli Basiyalo left the game in the 16th minute to be replaced by nippy halfback Simi Kuruvoli on the wing.

Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula put the Drua in front after converting a penalty from 30 metres out to lead 8-7.

Mataele further extended the Drua's lead in the 28th minute after reading the Brumbies' attack and intercepting a pass making it 15-7

Halfback Issak Fines-Leleiwasa extended the Drua's lead after taking a quick tap and diving over the line, making it 22-7 to the Drua.

The Drua led 22-7 at the break.

Sapsford got his second try in the 43rd minute, utilising an overlap on the outside making it 22-14 to the Brumbies.

Kuruvoli saved the Drua's skin after Sapsford popped up the ball on the Drua 5 metre line, but there was no Brumbies player to receive it.

Virimi Vakatawa was a menace to the Brumbies defence with his devastating runs, offloading to Kuruvoli to dash up the side and score, making it 30-14 to the Drua.

Fullback Isikeli Rabitu was stretchered off the field after he collided with a Brumbies player and also received a yellow card as he was the tackler.

57" Yellow card to Rabitu as he was the tackler and should have lowered himself. Medics are still with Rabitu as he looked like he was knocked unconscious.

The Brumbies utilised the overlap and secured another try, keeping the Drua within range at 21-30

With 10 minutes to go, the Brumbies set-piece move from the ruck caught the Drua napping, throwing an inside ball to Corey Toole, who powered up the midfield untouched to keep the Brumbies within 3 points at 28-30

A bit of back and forth as the teams fought for possession, but Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula slotted in a penalty to end things at 33-28 with the Drua beating the Brumbies twice in one season.
