Drua looking to maintain winning record against Reds

The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will be looking to maintain their winning record against the Queensland Reds at home in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific when they meet in Churchill Park, Lautoka, today.

The Drua have played the Reds three times in Fiji and have won all three matches. Today will also be the Reds’ first time playing against the Drua in Lautoka, and it is expected to be a thriller. The Drua players have been preparing well this week and will also be looking to improve on their performance from last week. Meanwhile, the Drua will be up against some familiar Fijian faces, namely Filipo Daugunu, Seru Uru, and former Flying Fijian Ben Volavola. Drua second five-eighth Tuidraki Samusamuvodre says Volavola is a great player and knows how to play in Fiji. He is expecting a great game from the former Flying Fijian fly-half today. The Drua will meet the Reds at 3.35pm today, with gates opening at 1.30pm. Last night, the Brumbies beat the Chiefs 33-24 and the Hurricanes demolished the Highlanders 50-7. Looking at other matches tonight, Moana Pasifika will face the Crusaders at 6.05pm and the Blues will take on the Waratahs at 8.35pm.

You can check the fijivillage website for live updates of the game.
