Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu will have a briefing with the Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces on Monday to strengthen current working arrangement to fight drugs in the country.

While confirming this during a press conference, Tudravu says corporation between the two institutions is not new.

He says a holistic approach is needed to tackle drugs and they welcome all support towards these efforts.

Tudravu says the military is always the second option to their operations.

He says the Police Force has handled drug operations marvelously with their capabilities well, but the time has come that they need the RFMF support.

Tudravu says he will be having a discussion on how they can be assisted with the Commander.

He says they have done joint operations before but they will need to have further discussion on where they can assist police due their limited resources.

The Commissioner says they will brief the Commander on the status of drugs operations and will see how the RFMF can assist.
