Police prepare inquest file on cyberbullying-linked death of 'Ranadi Kei Viti'

A month after the death of 37-year-old Esala Seru Yalewamama best known as 'Ranadi Kei Viti' on facebook and TikTok, the Fiji Police Force will be compiling the investigation file and sending it to the Resident Magistrate for inquest.

It is alleged that bullying on social media led to Yalewamama taking their own life.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Crime Mesake Waqa says the element of cyber bullying was looked into during the investigation process.

Yalewamama’s body was found by the family on the morning of the 11th of July.
