Miss Hibiscus 2024 Melania Tora

Advocating for mental health in the country is the biggest aim for Miss Hibiscus 2024 Melania Tora after she was crowned last night.

Tora who is from Natalau Village in Sabeto Nadi, and has maternal links to Daliconi, Vanuabalavu says that providing safe spaces for people to talk and share about their issues is a great platform.

The 24-year-old says she also wants to be the voice of the voiceless.

She says she always supports the value of family time and it is not just about spending time in the same room, but being present with one another emotionally, mentally and sharing food together.

Liliana Pareti Warid, Melania’s mother says she acknowledged the effort shown by her daughter throughout the preparation until last night.

She says witnessing her daughter being crowned Miss Hibiscus 2024 is a dream come true.

Pareti says she also wants to acknowledge the support from the sponsors, and not forget the Vanua of Nadi, especially in the village of Natalau in Sabeto.
