Complainant Alexandra Forwood's testimony for the Commission of Inquiry into Barbara Malimali’s appointment as Commissioner of FICAC will not be open.

Senior legal counsel Janet Mason has confirmed this to fijivillage News this morning, however, in an interview last Friday, Mason confirmed that Forwood and Solicitor General Ropate Green's testimony will be open.

She said that Forwood's session would be open to the public due to the strong interest in her testimony.

Mason says the entire proceeding is closed to the media and the public.

She says Green will take the stand tomorrow or on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Malimali declined to comment further when asked about Mason’s disagreement with her statement on former FICAC employee and Commission of Inquiry witness, Kuliniasi Saumi’s sacking from FICAC after he gave his evidence.

Malimali says it is an employment matter and she will just leave it at that.

Mason confirms the inquiry will conclude this week, with several Members of Parliament set to take the stand.
