K-pop supergroup BTS released their first new music last night since completing mandatory military service, marking a highly anticipated return for the global sensation.
The group’s latest project, Arirang, is their first release since all seven members returned from their hiatus that began in 2022.
Named after a traditional Korean folk song, the album follows their 2022 anthology Proof and 2020’s Be, which featured global hits including 'Dynamite' and 'Life Goes On'.
To support the release, BTS have also announced a major world tour spanning 34 regions, signalling a full return to the international stage.
Fans will also be able to watch a special performance broadcast exclusively on Netflix at 10pm AEDT (11pm FJT) tonight, marking the platform’s first live event in South Korea.
Millions are expected to tune in, including the group’s global fanbase, with more than 33.5 million followers on Weverse.
The release marks a new chapter for BTS as they resume full group activities and reconnect with fans worldwide.
