USP secures $38M for upgrade of regional campuses
A $38 million loan has been secured by the University of the South Pacific to upgrade its regional campuses.

Vice Chancellor Professor Rajesh Chandra said this will enable new campuses to be built in Kiribati and Solomon Islands with a regional house for students at the Laucala Bay campus.

He added they will also expand the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure at regional campuses.

The loan from the Asian Development Bank will be paid over a 32 year period.
