Sarava, Ba, family begins their clean up

A family in Sarava, Ba, is still trying to clean their house after all the belongings got wet and damaged during Cyclone Evan last night.

The owner of the house Suragini Devi said their neighbours are now helping her wash and dry her clothes and clean the house.

She has never come across such a cyclone which blew the roof of her house which was so strongly built according to her.

Devi said that her mother-in-law’s house beside her house had its roof blown away and flood water entered the house.

She said they do not have power and water and do not know how they will continue with cleaning.
