It is not the aim of the People’s Charter for Change to condemn the church or to overrule the chiefly hierarchy in Fiji.
Those were the words of Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama while forgiving and accepting the traditional apology from the village of Narocake in Rewa.
Commodore Bainimarama said the main purpose is to bring unity that will result in peace and prosperity.
He stressed that it is clear that his government is talked about and many are against his policies, however they will not let that hinder their effort for development.
Earlier this morning, spokesperson for the village Tevita Bainiloga admitted that they had not supported the charter but they have realized that there was no other way but to support it.
He also told Commodore Bainimarama that they now fully support Bainimarama’s government and his leadership.
