Govt quashes disunity rumours
The government has today stressed that Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum remains the Attorney General of the country and Christopher Pryde is still the Solicitor General.

In a press conference from the Government Buildings in Suva which ended a few minutes ago, Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, Colonel Pio Tikoduadua has said that the government remained united to move the country forward.

He also stated that there is no split between the government and the military, and called on people to stop listening to or spreading malicious rumours.

Colonel Tikoduadua also said that people are reading too much into the replacement of John Prasad.

Colonel Tikoduadua also called on people to be united, as rumours will not assist the country in moving forward.

He said it's clear that the provinces are coming together to support the government, and that is the real situation happening on the ground at this stage.
