The Government will continue to reform, modernize and be innovative to empower everyone.
Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama made this revelation in his New Year message to the public stressing that through new policies everyone from the poor to those in the islands and even to the youth will benefit.
Commodore Bainimarama said the mandate of the Government is to empower all to be stronger and become part of the modern world.
This has been shown through Government's announcement that while VAT has been increased, educational items will be zero rated from 4th January until 28th February as well as other initiatives through the 2011 National Budget.
Commodore also called on all sectors - private and civil to be honest to ensure that the country moves forward.
