Israel's Minister for Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa'ar has been officially welcomed to Fiji.
Sa'ar was officially welcomed by the Fiji Government delegation, led by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.
A traditional welcoming ceremony were accorded to Sa'ar and was conducted by the staff of the Ministry for iTaukei Affairs.
Speaking during the ceremony, Sa'ar says he came from a very far place but he feels so close to home.
He acknowledged the Fijian Government for according him a traditional welcoming ceremony and it was great to be part of the Fijian culture.
Sa'ar will be holding a press conference with Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka and then later in the afternoon, will be commissioning the Israel Embassy in the Pacific.
